The police in Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria have arrested a private school bus driver for allegedly killing a 16-year old girl for refusing to allow him Be Intimate with her inside a school bus.
The driver, identified as Godwin Etute, allegedly murdered the teenager called Tolu Gbadamosi, dumped her by the road side and drove off.
The 26-year old suspect was arrested by the police at Ikotun Division on a tip-off by someone who saw him when he dumped the victim and drove off.
The incident happened at Egbe in Alimosho area of Lagos State where both worked in a popular private school (name withheld).
P.M.NEWS gathered that Etute was employed as the school bus driver, while the late Gbadamosi also worked as auxiliary teacher who also assisted the driver to take school children with the bus to and from school.
Sources said her problem started when Etute attempted to woo her to Be Intimate with him several times but she refused and told him that he had not tried sex with any man.
She insisted that she can only do that when she gets married.
She reported her encounter with Etute to her mom and few of her friends, P.M.NEWSlearnt.
It was gathered that on the day of the incident, Etute drove the school bus to pick children to the school with Gbadamosi in the morning.
While only two of them were in the bus as they set out to pick the pupils, he alleged parked the bus by the roadside and attempted to forcefully Be Intimate with the victim inside the school bus.
“When she refused, he grabbed her and tore her underwear, but the girl resisted him. And Etute started beating her,” an eyewitness said.
In anger, Etute allegedly brought out a screw driver and stabbed Tolu. She collapsed and died inside the school bus.
The police were later contacted and they arrested Etute.
The incident has thrown the management of the school and the family of the deceased into mourning.
When P.M.NEWS visited the school, the owner of the school was said to have gone to the police station in respect of the matter.
While at the Ikotun Station, a police source confirmed the incident and added that the matter will be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti Yaba, Lagos after their preliminary investigation at Ikotun.

8 years old girl raped and killed by Father's friend.
father of the girl.
Our correspondent learnt that the girl’s younger brother, Obedient, was present in the house and he overheard Atagha asking her to go out with him so that he could buy her something.
The boy said he warned his sister not to go out since it was late.
When it was 9.30 pm, the girl’s family began to look for her. Francis said they were worried since she had never stayed out late at night and nobody in the house had sent her on errand.
Later, he asked Obedient whether he knew the whereabouts of the girl and was informed that Atagha had taken her out.
Francis said, “When we did not see her throughout the night, my friends, including my tenants and I went to Atagha’s house to ask him about my daughter’s whereabouts.
“He denied ever seeing the girl that day. He told us that we had come to incur his wrath for something he had no knowledge of. But when he noticed that we were very serious, he ran away and we did not see him for many days.
“When we took the matter to his family, he appeared and confessed that he did it and that we should not let any other person hear about the matter.”
Francis had quickly informed the police about the matter immediately and Atagha was arrested.
He said, “I only did my bit by informing the police about the alleged killer of my daughter. Because I am poor, many people seem to take advantage of my situation and treat me badly.
“I don’t know if the police will be able to avenge my daughter’s death. My daughter was easy-going, obedient and loving. I could not imagine how somebody – not even my own friend–could do this type of thing to me. The world is wicked. This is an abominable offence.”
Francis said that his daughter’s corpse was still lying in the bush where Atagha allegedly hacked her to death. Part of the body, especially the belly, had begun to decompose. But the face was still recognisable. He said the corpse was left there as evidence and that they would only bury the girl once the police gave them the go-ahead to do so.
One of the tenants and a close friend to Francis, who gave his name as Innocent, described the slain girl as too precious to lose. He said the victim could cook any type of food and when somebody sent her on errand, she would promptly go without any argument.
He said, “This is not the type of girl anybody can lose. Great injustice has been done to the little girl. We hope the government will intervene in this matter.”
The spokesman for the Akwa Ibom State Police Command, Mr. Onyekaozuru Orji, confirmed the incident and said the Police had arrested the alleged killer.
Orji said the the matter was under investigation and if it was established that Atagha actually raped and murdered the girl, he would be charged to court for manslaughter.

Supreme court moves to sack five sitting Governors
Baring any sudden last minute changes, in what appears to be a deft move targeting Bayelsa State Governor, Chief Timipre Sylva and his Sokoto State counterpart, Aliyu Wammako, THEWILL has gathered from multiple connected sources that the Supreme Court will in a couple of hours remove 5 State Governors from office when the 7-panel justices headed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Dahiru Musdapher, delivers its ruling in the controversial tenure elongation suit filed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), seeking to quash the tenure elongation approved for the 5 governors by a Federal High Court and upheld by an appeal court.
The other governors are Alhaji Ibrahim Idris (Kogi State), Admiral Murtala Nyako (Adamawa State), and Senator Liyel Imoke (Cross River State). The five of them belong to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The trio of Imoke, Nyako and Wammako have already secured their party’s ticket ahead of their State’s governorship elections scheduled to hold at different dates this year. Imoke and Nyako however enjoy a great deal of popularity in their states and have the backing of the PDP and the Presidency to return to office. The same cannot however be said for Wammako, who though has secured his party’s ticket, may still be blocked by the PDP and Presidency because he did not support the election of President Goodluck Jonathan.
Kogi State already has a governor-elect waiting to be sworn following a governorship election that was conducted in December, 2011.
The biggest loser of the lot is Timipre Sylva, who was disqualified from contesting in the Bayelsa State PDP primary; and would be arrested, detained and prosecuted on various charges ranging from corruption to treason, THEWILL was told by reliable sources. (He allegedly threatened to kill President Jonathan and his wife because they refused to support his re-election bid). The Governor has since fallen out with the President who was his predecessor in office. Sylva’s sin was that he frustrated efforts at the National Assembly to make then Vice President Goodluck Jonathan Acting President, during the long absence from office of late President Umaru Yar’Adua, due to an ailment that eventually led to his demise.
Sources conversant with the plan told THEWILL Thursday that the SSS operatives attached to Sylva have been directed to detain him as soon as his sack is announced.
Sylva is presently in court challenging the PDP’s decision to block him from seeking the party’s ticket.
There is however panic across the five states following the development, as the Governors have relocated to Abuja -- Nyako and Sylva have been in Abuja for over a week -- Sources close to the Governors told THEWILL that they are all aware that their terms would probably come to end in a couple of hours and have made contingency plans to manage the situation at their various states.
The Speakers of the State Assemblies in the states affected will assume office as acting governors if indeed the governors are removed by the court as expected, and INEC will have to conduct fresh polls within a stipulated period, usually 3-6 months.

The Essence Of Exercise
If you want to reduce your body fat, focus on increasing the amount of exercise you get rather than decreasing your food intake. A recent national study was done using two groups of sedentary men, one group in their 20's and the other over age 65. A lot was learned from this accumulated data and it is interesting to note that there was a significant relationship between lack of physical activity and fat. Not surprisingly, the most sedentary men had the most body fat.
These studies have also indicated that the governments current recommended daily allowance for calories does not correlate with the body's actual energy needs. For example, although 2400 calories have been calculated for older men, they in fact burned an average of 2800 calories daily.
The leading experts now recommend that people who want to lose weight start increasing their physical activity. Just being more active in general (such as climbing the stairs instead of taking the elevator, moving around instead of sitting still, sitting up instead of lying down as well as showing some excitement and enthusiasm instead of boredom), are things that more effectively burns calories and reduces body fat. Everyone seems to have lost sight of the value of being active. Consider this, a half-hour aerobic workout accounts for far less energy expenditure than our minute-to-minute movement in the office or at home.
Millions of Americans are trying to lose weight, spending approximately $30 billion a year on diet programs and products, often they do lose some weight. But, if you check with the same people five years later, you will find that nearly all have regained whatever weight they lost. A national panel recently sought data to determine if any commercial diet program could prove long-term success. Not a single program could do so.Being seriously overweight and particularly obesity predisposes individuals to a number of diseases and serious health problems, and it's now a known fact that when caloric intake is excessive, some of the excess frequently is saturated fat.
People who diet without exercising often get fatter with time. Although your weight may initially drop while dieting, such weight loss consists mostly of water and muscle. When the weight returns, it comes back as fat. To avoid getting fatter over time, increase your metabolism by exercising regularly.
Walking is one of the best exercises for strengthening bones, controlling weight, toning the leg muscles, maintaining good posture and improving positive self-concept. To lose weight, it's more important to walk for time than speed. Walking at a moderate pace yields longer workouts with less soreness - leading to more miles and more fat worked off on a regular basis. High intensity walks on alternate days help condition one's system. But in a walking, weight-loss program, you are not requried to walk an hour every day as some people would have you believe.

Nigerian U.K student dies in London club
A young and promising Northampton University student, Nabila Nanfuka, was trampled to death as clubgoers stampeded for the doors to exit a nightclub on Tuesday night.
The event, Wickedest Skank, was organised by promoter DNA as a university coach rave and held at the Lava and Ignite nightclub in Northampton. Students from universities all over England, including Luton, Hertfordshire, Leicester, Kent, Coventry, Birmingham, Manchester and Northampton attended the sold out event.
Reports suggest that tensions began to rise at the end of the rave as clubgoers tried to leave the venue which had exceeded maximum capacity. Fights began to break out causing crowds to rush out of Lava and Ignite leading to a stampede.
MAY HER SOUL REST IN PEACE. AMEN !!

Faith , That's what we need !!
To have faith is to defy logic. It takes faith to think positively. It takes faith to believe that there is a loving God who cares deeply about our pain. To believe in life, the universe, or yourself after numerous failures is to have courage. Faith is an act of courage. It is choosing to get up in the morning and face our fears and believe that God will help us. Faith is choosing to believe that even though we may have failed one hundred times before that we can succeed the next time.
Happy New Year People !!
Really happy to be back after such a long time. Its a new year people, so we are expecting new things in much bigger ways and that I promise to deliver. Just keep watching this space. Have a Splendid new year filled with God's Love and protection.
